Work That Reconnects Network

Program & Host Organization

The Work That Reconnects Network is a not-for-profit organization supporting a global community of facilitators and participants engaged in practices that deepen emotional resilience and ecological awareness. The network sustains and expands the Work That Reconnects, a longstanding framework for building personal and collective capacity in response to ecological and social crises.

Location & Scope

The initiative is based in the United States but operates internationally. Activities take place in virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats, with events offered throughout the year by both the network and more than 200 facilitator members across regions.

Who It Serves

The programs serve the general public, including adults of diverse ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Participants often include climate-engaged individuals, community members seeking support, and those exploring emotional, spiritual, and relational approaches to climate challenges.

Climate & Mental Health Focus

The initiative addresses eco-anxiety, ecological grief, overwhelm, and the psychological dimensions of navigating global climate disruption. It creates opportunities for processing difficult emotions, strengthening resilience, and cultivating grounded engagement with social and ecological realities.

Activities & Format

Programming includes workshops, multi-week series, year-long trainings, support circles, retreats, guest speaker events, creative practices, nature-based activities, and mindfulness sessions. Events vary widely: some are one-time gatherings, while others occur weekly or monthly over extended periods. Participation may be organized through cohorts or offered flexibly, depending on the event.
